Organizing is not a one time event….

by Brandie Kajino on January 25, 2007

So, January is “Get Organized Month” - a great time to start the year off right! However, like all New Years’ Resolutions, this one can fade off into the sunset if you’re not careful. It’s easy enough to get hyped up about “getting organized” - it IS in the top ten resolutions after all! But, just like exercise or cleaning, it needs maintenance. Monica Ricci calls it “living organized“. It’s really more about a lifestyle. Getting organized means thinking about how you function in your own space. What do you do there? What things do you need to do that? Which rooms host which activities? It’s about thinking of your space in terms of how you live or work in it. Once you know that, the process of deciding what goes where (including what goes or stays) begins! Maintaining the work after “organizing” is what will not only make it your lifestyle, it will make it permanent!
