I enjoyed reading this post. Brandie, I love that you teach the spiritual connection between us and our spaces. Our surroundings *are* a reflection of our physical and emotional health. Your post reminds me of a Wayne Dyer quote, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

This all reminds me that I need to pick up some fabric swatches around my studio! [grin]

Oh, Brandie, I love the music in the video you embedded. I also really love your evocative use of "Are you more attached to the way it was, or
the way you want it to be?"

That messages really dovetails nicely with a quote on the "About" section of my website--in a story about how a student repeatedly has excuses as to why she cannot follow the wise advice of her teacher, he eventually replies that: "When your intention to change is greater than your intention to stay the same, then you will change."

Change is hard, and we're often invested (intellectually, financially, emotionally) in the status quo in ways of which we're not always even fully cognizant. Thanks for bringing up this important issue, especially in a way that's so memorable!
