(One) Freetalk® Wireless Stereo Headset

I heart Skype.

I have been using Skype for about two years.  I use it to communicate with others around the globe in either a voice chat or a text chat.  I also have been working on my NEW podcast ( be sure to subscribe to my mailing list so you’ll know right when it’s released!) and conducted an interview with Pamela Recorder.  So easy and simple to do!

That wireless headset?  Skype sent me one to try out.  Love. It.  Have you ever stood up to walk away from your desk, and nearly gotten whiplash because your headset cord was still attached?  Yes?  Then you’ll know why I’m loving it.  (If not, you are one lucky person, and I’m sure your neck thanks you!)

Do you use Skype?  Do you want to?  Here’s the deal…

It’s easy to win!  Here’s what you do:

You can enter by either leaving a comment or writing a post (be sure to link back to this post) telling us:

1. What you use Skype for (or would use it for) and

2. Your favorite Skype feature

Get creative and teach us something!

Be sure to enter by the deadline, August 7 at 11:59pm PST.

That’s it!

I would use it to let my parents talk to my toddler.

I learned they offer free conference calls.

I stay in touch with my far flung friends, and I love Skype for the voice anywhere and logging of chats, so I can keep notes on what I talk about with people and have it pop up afterwards, for me to followup on!

I love Skype! I use it to chat with my husband who is deployed, my parents, and friends all over the world! LOVE IT!

Gosh I have heard so much about Skype but have yet to figure it out. It sounds like an amazing service from all the great things I hear about it so this would be a wonderful opportunity to get on the band wagon (especially since all my family lives so far away)!

We adore Skype! We used it for the first 9 months of our marriage, when my husband was deployed to the Middle East. Now that we’ve been stationed overseas for 2.5 years, we use it to talk to both our families every weekend. We also keep up with our college friends, take care of any banking/business calls, and just love the service! It makes us feel that much closer to home.

I use skype to talk to my parents. The skype feature that works for us is the call in number. With that I am able to add that as one of the 10 numbers I can call free with my Verizon phone, and reach my parents from my mobile phone. On weekends I use the skype video conference so that my parents can watch my 2 year old daughter ! One of the features that I need to try is the video sharing. My parents have the unlimited subscription to call US, so they can reach me and my sister anytime.

I love skype. The love affair with SKYPE has been going on for over 2 years.
My Love has taken me to Spain, South Africa, Brazil, USA and Canada.
I never considered myself to be a great long distance friend…since SKYPE came into my life I have been able to stay connected on a visual level with some amazing people from all over this beautiful planet! It has really helped me to get over my issue of being a poor long distance friend.

My favourite feature is the live video conference. While in South Africa last year for a conference I was able to call and see my kids here in Canada and they could see me half way arounnd the world. It made me feel less home sick and the kids thought it was cool to see Mommy and her new feiends in South Africa in real time!

I’ve heard of skype but I never really thought about it until you posted this. It’s amazing!

We are a military family and we are on our 7th deployment in 10 years. This would be great to let my kids talk to their dad. My 4 year old can’t type or read very well, so she has a hard time with the separation. This would be a big help.

I did not know skype did conference calls or video sharing. I am going to have to get this set up!
Thanks so much for this!

I’m a single mom to a toddler with no family nearby. So we would use it to stay extra connected with everyone.

I’m very interested in the conference calling and video sharing. These are services I have through my company, but would be great to be able to do similar things in my personal life.

I use Skype for conference calls and video chats to offset my cell phone usage. I also love the ability to record calls via Pamela.

I have a close family member stationed in Korea – I would love to talk to him using the skype headset. We talk on skype now. Skype has been a lifesaver!!! This is a great giveaway. Love your site. Look for me on twitter too – readyaimorganiz

I use Skype for both of my businesses (it’s fantastic for conference calls) and for personal use. My favorite feature is definitely the video call. I started using Skype about 2 years ago when a close friend moved to the East Coast. Having video call capabilities made it far easier to stay in contact.

What would I use Skype for? Well, I’d use it to talk more! With 12 Aunts and Uncles just on my Dad’s side ~ flung around the world from Australia to Germany to Massachusetts and everywhere in between, I’ve got some people to talk to! I have cousins whom I grew up with all around the world, too, of course, and our kids have never even seen each other. This is a crime, and as I work at getting my home-life together one of my major goals is being better at keeping in touch with those I love. All these people all around the world….I get giddy thinking of what I can do with Skype!

Not only that, but both sets of our boy’s grandparents (yes, that would be my husband and my parents) live in other states. Although we see DH’s family often, I see mine about every other year. I wish I was better at sending pictures, but I have to admit I’m a “real-time” kinda girl, and since I sit in front of my computer working much of the time anyway I’d love to be able to give this Skype package to my parents so we can keep in touch with them and they can talk to their siblings, kids and grandkids all around the world, too.

See? It’s not for me ~ although it will mean I’ll have to get one myself, but a gift of connection for people I love.

Speaking of love…I love reading your blog! Thanks for doing what you do so well!!
