It’s the holiday season! Have you done your shopping? Thought about giving a gift that won’t collect dust? Sometimes we give things to people because we simply don’t know what to get them. However, our best intentions can sometimes end up on a shelf or in a box somewhere. A better idea might be to give a gift that can be consumed. Here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing:
- theatre tickets
- membership to a museum or attraction
- coupon book for local merchants
- gift certificate - major credit card companies sell these, and they are not restricted to one retailer
- online gift certificate - most large online retailers have these widely available (great for last minute gifts!)
- edible homemade gifts
- floral, fruit or coffee of the month club
- “Personal Service” coupons - great for kids to make, include things like “free car wash”, “breakfast in bed” or “free shoulder massage”
- Kid Crafts - if you have children, most everyone (especially grandparents) like handmade gifts from their little ones in the family.
Let your imagination run wild! Happy Holidays!
